As a Realtor it is my pleasure to walk alongside my clients during an exciting time in their lives as they look to find a new place to call home. When looking to buy or sell a home there is a lot of excitement and that comes with a lot of questions . I have always had the heart of a teacher and truly desire to help my clients understand the process as well as their options so that they are equipped to make the best decision possible for their situation.
I recognize that each client is placing a great amount of trust in me as we work to sell their current home or search for a new one. I have always had a high level of expectation for those in which I place my trust. As such, I strive to represent my clients with honesty, dignity and grace in such a way that is worthy of their trust.
When working with clients I like to get a good understanding of how they function in a home. When looking at the layout of a home the best way to approach the design of your home is beginning with function.
As we look at homes we can talk through the functionality of the overall layout. No home is perfect, especially as your needs change, but it is important to identify the items that are must haves verses the items that would be nice to have.
Whether it is staging your current home to appeal to buyers in the home selling process or walking through an empty listing and thinking through how the space might work for you and your family, my goal is to help you make the most of any opportunity.

THE PROCESS
WHEN YOU'RE SELLING
1) MARKETING
Coming from a Marketing background I understand how important it is to get your home seen by the right buyers in order to get it sold in the least amount of time for the most money. The first step when deciding to sell is to set up an initial Marketing Consultation where I will walk you through my process for getting your home sold.
2) STAGING
Once we have our Marketing Plan in place I will work with you to get your home staged and ready to go on the market. It is important to think about how your home will appear to a buyer and what their needs might be in a home. Doing this will help us appeal to a greater amount of people.
3) LISTING
Now that we have taken care of all of the loose ends to get your home ready to list, this is where my Marketing Plan comes into action. I will get your home listed and advertised so that we get it exposed to buyers looking for a home just like yours in order to get it sold.
WHEN YOU'RE BUYING
1) DREAMING
When you are thinking of buying a home, whether it is your first time or your tenth home the first step is taking some time to meet over coffee and dream a little. What is it you need out of your next home? What would you love? What is most important? We will take some time to set some goals to make the most of your home search.
2) PREPARING
Next we will work on getting everything together to make sure you are prepared to write an offer once we find your dream home. Getting with a lender and talking through timelines will help us prepare to make the most of your move.
3) SHOPPING
Looking at homes can be both exciting and exhausting. I will help you as you are thinking through the layout and function of each home as you determine which one is the best fit for your family. Sometimes looking for a home can require a bit of patience, but when we find the right one, you will know!

About Rachel
Born and raised in West Tennessee, I moved to Chattanooga to attend UTC and quickly fell in love with the city. After graduating with a degree in Marketing & Entrepreneurship I knew I wanted to combine my creative spirt and love of helping people to start a business, I just wasn't sure quite what it was yet. After spending 8 years working in marketing, I finally decided to follow my heart and go into real estate and haven't looked back since.
After a year into my Real Estate career I embarked on another big adventure and founded my own Real Estate firm, 35 South Real Estate & Design with 2 partners. I feel blessed to work with clients doing something that I love and using my talents from my marketing background to help get their houses sold!
Most weekends, you can find my husband Rob and I walking the Walnut Street Bridge with our daughter. We are proud residents of Chattanooga and are involved in several local organizations and ministries working to give back to the city we love so much.
